Bio:
Niles,Ohio...It was the early 60's ...
And with 5 years of Accordion lessons imprinted into his DNA, little Johnny was ready to ROCK....But it was tough to do on an Accordion.
Suddenly,on February 9, 1964 The Beatles (and the hormones) kicked in at the same time.
John noticed that the girls were screaming...but not for the accordion players! So...he got a guitar (yep, it was a Silvertone) and figured out how to play it (hormones helped) with a lot of front porch sessions from local guitar pro Tony Platt.
During a 2 year "tour"of Germany in the early 70's, courtesy of Uncle Sam (1st Armored Div-404 MP Co) John played in a rock band with other draftees, all around Western Germany.
For the past 30+ years he has been playing and singing all through N.E Ohio, and Western Pa.
John has been in a lot of local bands over the years (Check out the picture page) playing everything from Top 40 to Disco and Country, and even Polkas.
He now performs as a solo act, with a song list geared to the BOOMER crowd.. (He loves them Wineries) -- Lots of 60's, 70's & 80's music, and a bit of Country. Occasionally even a polka will creep in on the old "Button Box"!
John also has a CD of original tunes floating around out there somewhere.
